DoorDash waives fees and makes no contact automatic setting for deliveries
Updated: Jan 25
DoorDash announced in a press release that existing partner restaurants will not be charged any commission fees for pick-up orders. They will also be providing newly registered independent restaurants and some current independent restaurants zero commission for 30 days.
To help minimize contact between customers and delivery drivers DoorDash set the default delivery option to "no contact." Customers will still have the option to set their delivery to "hand it to me," they will just have to change the setting when they make the order.
DoorDash has also added more than 100,000 restaurants to its subscription program (which offers free delivery services) for free.
