GrubHub is listing restaurants that didn't agree to be listed.

Updated: Jan 25

Grubhub is creating listings for restaurants on its platform that don't even partner with them. Allowing customers to order food from the restaurants on its websites.

In a series of Twitter post, one restaurant owner explains how she discovered that her restaurant Kin Khao was on Seamless, even though she didn't offer delivery. See realized this after a man called asking about a delivery he placed online 45 minutes ago. That's when she found her restaurant listed on Seamless, Grubhub and Yelp. And she's not the only one this is seeming to become a problem a lot of privately own businesses are having.

However, Grubhub isn't the only one both Postmates, and DoorDash also list restaurants and their menus on their platforms even if those business don't offer delivery and never agreed to partner with those services.

Our best advice for customers, contact the restaurants to see if they offer delivery service or pick up, and what company they use before ordering online. Not all restaurants offer delivery.
