Why you would need to verify their age
Depending on what the order was, you maybe required to scan a valid photo ID, or collect a customer's signature prior to completing the drop-off. If a drop-off should require age to be verified you will be notified in the app or by push notification when you begin drop off. You will also be notified once you arrive at customer's delivery address.

How to collect the customer's signature
Hold the phone horizontally and have the customer sign your device with their finger or a stylus.
How to Verify a customer's ID in-app
Use the Postmates Fleet app to scan the ID. You have to manually enter the customer's information if there are issues with your GPS or if the scan fails to capture the ID multiple times.
How to scan customers ID:
Tap the Delivery Details Card shown at the bottom of the map
Tap Complete Delivery and then Verify Customer Identification
Select the customer’s ID type: a government-issued driver’s license, state ID, or passport.
When prompted, follow the directions in-app to scan. You will need to scan the FRONT of the ID if it is a passport, and the BACK of the ID if it's a driver's license or state ID.
Wait a few seconds for the verification to complete.
What to do if ID is expired?
If the customers has an alternate form a identification you can scane that. If they should not slide to complete the delivery and teturn the order back to the pick-up location.
What if the customer is underage?
If a customer is underage slide to complete the delivery and return the order back to the pick-up location.
