When someone requests to rent your vehicle you will be notified. Make sure to confirm the application as soon as possible for it expires after 24 hours.
After you approve the application, make sure to verify the accuracy of all the documents on your vehicle. Insurance for your vehicle will be generated 24 hours before pick up.
Hand Off The Keys
When meeting with the driver verify their license, walk around the car and check the fuel and mileage.
Once it is confirmed the driver picked up the car you will be paid.
Pick Up Your Car
When the rental is over, and the driver doesn't want to extend their rental coordinate a time and location to pick up your vehicle.
How It Works For Drivers
First you will need to create an account.
Find Your Car And Submit Applications
Once you have that done you will be able to go to the marketplace and pick out a car. When you find a car click "Book Now" to start the rental process. Then, input the dates you will need the car. HyreCar has a two-day minimum for rentals, you can also extend the rental period by reaching out to the owner. HyreCar also recommends booking 5 to 10 cars. This will increase your chance of getting the car you want. Note you will only be charged for the care you're approved to drive.
Once you've decided on a car, and have filled out your payment information (If you use a debit card a fully refundable $200 deposit will be held in your account). After the booking is confirmed, the company will run a quick background check. This is for new drivers only and only takes a few hours. When the car owner approves your application HyreCar will send you three documents that you will need to upload to the platform you are looking to drive on. The documents include vehicle registration, 19-point inspection report, your rideshare insurance. Note if you decide to pay with a credit car you won't be charge the refundable $200 deposit.
Meeting The Owner and Earning
Before picking up the car, make sure your documents have been uploaded and verified by the platform you are choosing to drive on. That way you start immediately when you pick up the car. Also, make your to do a thorough inspection of the vehicle before you drive off. Look for any major dings, scrapes or other kinds of interior/exterior damage that wasn't revealed in the photos of the car. If you should find something make sure to take pictures so you and the owner know the issue was there when you picked up the car.
Return The Car
Before dropping off the car to the owner, make sure to replace the gas used, then meet the owner to drop off the car. Make sure to walk around the car again to make sure you are clear of any damages and hand over the keys.
You can also rate the owner at the end of the rental.
