Lyft launches delivery service in ten cities

Updated: Jan 22

On Wednesday Lyft launched a new on-demand delivery to provide essential goods, including groceries, meals, and medical supplies.

Drivers will be booked to deliver goods on behalf of government agencies, nonprofit groups, business, and healthcare organizations. The pay for drivers would the same as regular trips, based on the distance and time they travel.

The service is currently only available in Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Orlando, Phoenix, San Francisco, San Diego, San Antonio, and Seattle. However, the company plans to expand to more cities once it finds additional partners.
