Uber launches new delivery services Uber Direct and Uber Connect

Uber has launched two new services Uber Connect and Uber Direct as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to minimize demand for its traditional business. Uber Direct will offer deliveries from shops like pharmacies. Uber Direct will offer same day courier service to let Uber users send items to on another.
Uber Connect:
Builds on Uber Eats recent expansion into grocery and convenience store delivery.
In New York City Uber is working with Cabinet to connect New Yorkers with over-the-counter medication. In Portugal, they are working alongside the national postal service CTT to help delivery parcels to their customers. In Australia, they are delivering pet supplies with Greencross to deliver pet supplies from Petbarn, City Farmers the Greencross Vet clinics with same-day service.
They have also partnered with South Africa's Western Cape Department of Health and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to deliver medication to those most vulnerable.
Uber Direct:
A no-contact delivery solution that keeps people feeling close. With this feature users in select cities will be able to log into the app and send packages to family or friends.
This option is available in more than 25 cities in Australia, Mexico, and the US.
