Uber is letting customers in Arizona book cars with a 1-800 number

Uber is testing a new toll-free number in Arizona that people can call to book a car without the need of smartphone.

Passengers call 1-833-USE-UBER to reach a contractor who will book a ride on the app they will also give the rider a price quote. Uber will then send driver details, and expected arrival time. Riders will receive receipt of ride via test message.

This new service is intended for people who may not have a smartphone or access to Uber's app.

Customers will have various options through the phone number. Which included Uber X, Uber Black, and Uber Comfort)

Uber plans to have the calling service available in other states in the coming months.
